Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Over the past 20 years, Bill has held a variety of executive leadership positions in the global communications sector across data centers, cloud services, and software. In addition, Bill also currently serves as a Senior Operating Partner, responsible for communications infrastructure investments at Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, a private equity firm specializing in North American infrastructure and the majority equity holder in Cologix. Bill was most recently Executive Vice President of Cloud Services at VMware and previously served as President of Savvis, a public data center and cloud infrastructure provider. Bill previously served on the Board of Directors of Ciena, euNetworks and Telx, a leading cross-connection and colocation platform. Bill is a former British Army Officer and holds a Master of Arts in Engineering from Cambridge University.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Dawn is President and Chief Operating Officer of Cologix, where she leads the company's strategic initiatives, real estate development, human resources, legal, all other administrative functions, and corporate strategy. She also serves as Corporate Secretary to the company's Board of Directors. Prior to Cologix, Dawn was most recently the executive vice president and chief legal officer of McAfee, where she led the legal and government relations organization globally. Prior to McAfee, Dawn was the senior vice president and chief legal officer at VMware. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Dawn graduated from Stanford Law School. Dawn joined Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and then became partner at Morrison & Foerster with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and debt financings, board advisory, and corporate governance. Dawn currently serves on the board of directors of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Her leadership has earned numerous recognitions in the field of law, including: Top 50 Women Lawyers in the U.S. by the National Diversity Council, Value Champion Award by the Association of Corporate Counsel, Most Innovative In-House Legal Team in North America, and Top 20 General Counsel by the Financial Times. In addition to her JD from Stanford Law School, Dawn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, where she also received the Vice Admiral Lawrence Award for most outstanding woman athlete. As a commissioned officer, Dawn was chosen for the highly competitive naval nuclear submarine program founded by Admiral Hyman Rickover, and while in the Navy she earned an MBA from Providence College.
President and Chief Revenue Officer
Laura is President and Chief Revenue Office of Cologix, where she leads strategic sales, revenue plan, and focusing the company on deepening customer relationships and broadening the go-to-market strategy to include the fast-growing ecosystem of hyperscale cloud providers. She is also responsible for all aspects of how the company interacts with current customers and prospects. Laura has more than 21 years of experience leading software and IT business operations, revenue management and client relationship management, pre- and post-sales, global support services, and customer experience. She thrives in building strong relationships in a dynamic, customer-focused business environment, driving high-performing teams in a “together we win” culture to deliver a best-in-class experience for customers. Prior to Cologix, Laura was Chief Customer Officer at Equinix, delivering a world-class experience for their customers. Laura also spent nine years at VMware, where she oversaw the Cloud Services business as co-General Manager and Vice President, leading VMware’s Global Sales and Customer Success teams. Prior to joining VMware, Laura led a global technical support services team and mergers & acquisition team that supported over 30,000 customers for Jeppesen, a Boeing Company. Laura spent eight years working at Lockheed Martin, holding a variety of technical and executive management leadership positions. She is a recognized leader in the industry, receiving a leadership award from the Professional Business Women of California (PBWC) for her commitment to supporting women and girls in technology. Laura holds an MBA in Information Systems from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Marketing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she played tennis as a Division II college athlete.
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen is the Chief Financial Officer for Cologix, where he is responsible for finance, tax, accounting, and treasury. Prior to his current role, Stephen was Chief Financial Officer for FTD Companies, Inc. Before that, held various financial leadership positions in the telecommunication (AT&T) and media (DIRECTV) industries. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from Simon Fraser University.
Chief Technology Officer
Matt is the Chief Technology Officer for Cologix. He is responsible for leading engineering and operations. Matt has 25 years of experience leading worldwide IT and telecommunications organizations. He has served as the Senior Vice President of Global Operations for the Network and Customer Care Centers of Level 3 Communications, as Senior Vice President for Level 3’s IP Network, Voice over IP and Video Engineering and as Director of IT Operations for the University of Colorado Hospital. Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
Chief Information Officer & SVP Network Services
Val is the Chief Information Officer & Senior Vice President of Network Services for Cologix. He is responsible for leading Product and Process development as well as Systems and Network Architecture. He has over 20 years of management experience, providing product and technology solutions within commercial and government sectors. Prior to Cologix, he held a number of product development roles at Level 3 Communications, where he directed media content, voice & data, and managed services product development teams and led the transformation of the Product Development Management discipline through the adoptions of Agile development methods. Prior to Level 3, Val was the VP of Business Systems Development for Genuity Solutions, a Bell Atlantic - GTE Corp. Internet and Managed Services provider spin-off. He led the development efforts for separation and ultimately successful IPO of Genuity, followed by the largest CRM implementation in the industry.
