Grant van Rooyen, President and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to forming Cologix, Grant was CEO of IX Investments which was acquired by Cologix in late 2010. He was with Level 3 Communications for 10 years from 1999 until 2009 where he held a number of leadership positions, including President of the Content Markets Group, with responsibility for more than $1.5 billion of customer and product revenue.
In addition to his Cologix responsibilities, Grant is a Partner in vR Equity, a private investment firm. Grant has lived and worked around the world and holds a bachelors degree in economics and finance.
Trent Vichie, Cologix Director since March 2017
Trent is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder of Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Before joining Blackstone in 2008 as co-head of the infrastructure division, Trent was a Managing Director with Macquarie Group in New York. Trent joined Macquarie’s infrastructure division in 1999 based out of Sydney, and transferred to the New York office in 2000 where he continued to specialize in infrastructure. Trent presently sits on the boards of the Carlsbad Water Desalination Project, Vertical Bridge and is a former director of Northstar Renewable Power and Tidewater Holdings.
Trent has 20 years’ experience and has been involved in a wide range of infrastructure equity investments and transactions in the rail, roads, airports, communications and utilities sector totaling over $10 billion. Trent received a Master’s degree in Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney Australia, and is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Peter Bruce, Cologix Director since March 2017
Peter is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Before joining Stonepeak, Peter was a Senior Vice President at Macquarie Group where he worked for 14 years in both real assets fund management and the investment banking division. Peter has broad experience in asset management, corporate finance and private capital markets gained in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States where he has been based since 2007.
Peter has a Bachelor of Economics (Finance) from the University of Sydney in Australia and Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Brian McMullen, Cologix Director since March 2017
Brian is a Managing Director with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners and has been involved with investments across a broad range of sectors. Prior to joining Stonepeak, Brian was a Principal with H.I.G. Capital and a member of the investment banking division at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Brian holds a Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School, a Masters of Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He is a CFA charterholder.
Bill Fathers, Cologix Director since March 2017
Bill is the Senior Operating Partner responsible for investments in Communications Infrastructure at Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Bill was most recently Executive Vice President of Cloud Services at VMWare and previously served as President of Savvis, a public data center and cloud infrastructure provider. Bill was a member of the Board of Directors of Telx, a leading cross-connection and colocation platform. He also worked for Thomson Reuters, where he helped build businesses in a number of international markets throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
A former officer in the British Army, Bill holds an M.A. in Engineering from Cambridge University.
Patrick Hendy, Cologix Director since December 2010Patrick joined Columbia Capital in 2002 and focuses on Data Center and Enterprise IT Services investments. Patrick is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Cologix, New Signature, and Canara. Patrick previously served on the boards of Virtustream (acquired by EMC), mindSHIFT (acquired by Best Buy), and New Global Telecom (acquired by Comcast), and he was involved with a number of the firm’s previous Internet Infrastructure, Enterprise IT Services, and Mobile investments, including Presidio (acquired by American Securities), XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR), and NuVox Communications (acquired by Windstream). Before joining Columbia, Patrick worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co in their Telecom, Media and Technology Investment Banking group. Prior to that he worked at Wachovia Securities in their Debt Capital Markets group. Patrick received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University.

Chairman of euNetworks and Chairman of New Signature
Neil Hobbs brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industry, holding Chairman, Chief Executive and Senior Executive positions.
Currently Neil is the Chairman of euNetworks, one of the fastest growing integrated bandwidth infrastructure companies in Europe, and also Chairman of NewSignature, the 2014 and 2015 Microsoft North American Partner of the Year. As a Microsoft National Solution Provider, New Signature delivers Microsoft cloud solutions to mid-market and enterprise customers across the U.S. Most recently, Neil has held the positions of Chief Executive of TerraPact, Inc.; served as President and CEO of Atlantix Systems; and was CEO and then Chairman of Teliris before its successful sale to Dimension Data. Previously he held a number of senior positions at Level 3 Communications, Concert and British Telecom.
